The Lyons Method is a unique collection of maths education tools presented as double-sided A4 boards. Designed by experienced teacher Larissa Lyons, the method strengthens understanding of the four core operations of maths: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Why The Lyons Method Was Created
While teaching after-school tuition, I saw first-hand how many children struggled with basic maths concepts. This lack of understanding often held them back, affecting their confidence and ability to progress alongside their peers.
Determined to make maths clearer and more accessible, I created a better learning aid—one that removes confusion, builds confidence, and supports genuine understanding rather than memorisation alone.
The Boards
Addition & Subtraction Board
- Supports adding and subtracting with or without carrying
- Enables learners to add up to four numbers (e.g. 9 + 8 + 7 + 6)
- Strengthens number sense and calculation confidence
